Wednesday, May 23, 2018 – Edward Zelmanski Alternative Dispute Resolution for Associations: Access to Justice We will discuss what options for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) procedures exist, and how they can save time and money while addressing your Association’s legal problems.

Wednesday, June 20, 2018 – Stacia Miller Board Policies and Bylaw Restrictions: Guidance for Your Association This session will explore the difference between Board policies, bylaws, and rules and regulations.  We will discuss the creation of legal, enforceable, and compassionate policies.

Wednesday, July 18, 2018 – Trends in Community Association Litigation We will discuss how Associations can use litigation effectively and how the Board can/should determine if litigating a matter is in the best interests of the Association.

 Wednesday, August 15, 2018 – Melissa Francis & Stacia Miller Co-owner Constitutional Rights vs. Association Responsibilities This session will explore co-owner Constitutional rights such as free speech, gun ownership, political affiliation, religious practices, etc. in Condominiums or HOAs. We will discuss the creation of bylaws that regulate co-owner behavior without violating such Constitutional rights.

Wednesday, September 19, 2018 – Gregory Fioritto Parliamentary Procedure This class will examine amendments to the Nonprofit Corporation Act and Michigan Court of Appeals rulings to show what value Robert’s Rules of Order or other parliamentary procedure have for Associations and Boards.

Wednesday, October 17, 2018 – Shane Diehl Process and Remedies for Correcting Violations Learn various measures to address infractions of rules and restrictions in your community.

Wednesday, November 14, 2018 – Richard Wagner Amending Your Condominium Documents: Preparing for Success This session will explore the amendment of Condominium Master Deeds and Bylaws, with methods to explain proposed changes, tactics for receiving co-owner input, and effective practices to reach a successful outcome and satisfied membership.

Wednesday, December 12, 2018 – Mark Davis Marijuana in Your Community (Post-Election Update) We will discuss the differences between State and Federal laws, their enforcement, and options for associations.  We will attempt to clear the haze by presenting recent voting results and the direction the laws are taking.
