We will discuss different legal remedies that Boards may use in addressing problems with renters, including rent diversion letters and eviction proceedings. We will also review long-terms solutions, such as rental caps and other document amendments to restrict rentals.

This session will address best practices for maintaining the common elements of your Association. We will also discuss steps that Associations can take to ensure Association pool and playground safety.

Managing Alterations and Modifications
This session will discuss the responsibilities of the Board in reviewing and responding to requests to alter or modify units and best practices for managing the process. We will further discuss the importance of creating a record with the County Register of Deeds in relation to approved alterations and modifications.

Amending Your Condominium Documents: Preparing for Success
This session will explore the fundamentals of the process of amending Condominium Master Deeds and Bylaws, with a focus on the most effective practices for completing a project. Specific tips for conducting a successful project through to its conclusion will be offered, including an examination of the best ways to explain proposed changes to both Board members and co-owners. We will discuss tactics, such as co-owner surveys and informational meetings that are most likely to lead to a successful document amendment project outcome and a satisfied membership.
